Richie Sambora appeared today (Sunday, May 24, 1998) at the B104 Listener Appreciation Concert at Union Park Terrace as part of the annual Mayfair in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

There were two opening acts -- Jennifer Dragon and her less-than-wisely-chosen cover of Aerosmith's "Pink" and the Rembrandts and the "Friends" song -- but while Richie's set was short, he was in great voice. He took the stage a little after 2:00 p.m., and did a mix of US and Jovi songs, all acoustic:

- Made in America
- Falling From Graceland
- Prayer '94
- Midnight Rider/Wanted
- In It For Love
- Hard Times Come Easy

He was joking and laughing in between songs. Richie wore faded black jeans, black boots, a dark blue t-shirt with a design and was clean shaven. The lawn area where the concert was held was scattered with fans of the four different bands, and many of the Jovi fans from the mailing lists and from several different states -- Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, as well as western Pennsylvania and local fans -- were up front cheering for Richie.

Richie was headed for the K104 festival at Thunder Ridge Ski Mountain in Patterson, NY for another appearance there after 4:00 p.m. At this time, these were his only two scheduled American shows.

Richie will come to Spain February 23rd (Barcelona) and 24th Madrid), to promote his latest solo album "Undiscovered Soul". In Barcelona, he will play some acustic songs at "Tarda Tarda" on the radio, and he will also play "Hard Times Come Easy" at the famous TV show "Cronicas Marcianas". I still don´t know his plans for Madrid, maybe some radios and TV programs like "Música Sí". As I did with Jon when he promoted his solo album, this time I will have an interview with Mr. Sambora. No more than 20 minutes, I´m afraid.
