"Stranger In This Town" Review 3 June 2004
Richie Sambora can sing the blues!!!!

I thought that the solo work done by Sambora was so personal and inviting

A review by Karen

Richie Sambora's stranger in this town is one of those albums that surprise you since youre not quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the artistic spledor within Mr Sambora. It was a very bluesy album as most of Samboras influences are blues based.

It starts of with a relly interesting intro- Rest In Peace which really melts into Church Of Desire with pure hypnotic ease. Stranger in this town displays such great vocal talent that im left wondering whether he should infact be the lead in Bon Jovi.

My personal favorite on the album is One Light Burning which i interpret as a song of salvation and hope. Its almost as if he wrote that song for me alone!!!

Theres also other super tracks like Mr Bluesman and Ballad Of Youth which i think displays such catchy guitar riffs!!

All in all i think that Sambora is a lyrical genius and Stranger In This Town definetly proves that.

Richie Sambora is no Bon Jovi sidekick!!!!

Rating: 9/10
