"Crush" Review 28 February 2001
AT LAST

AT LONG LAST, SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF

A review by EMMA TAYLOR / ianbtaylor@industryweb.co.uk

After the mess that was "These Days" Bon Jovi have finally come up with something that is worth playing over and over again. I don't think it has come off my CD player since I brought it. Even my fourteen month old daughter dances around the living room when I play "It's my Life."
Okay, there are some tracks which, if I realise in time, I skip, such as "She's a mystery" and "Mystery Train" (they don't really make much sense to me, but the rest, well it's true Bon Jovi to me. "One Wild Night" is one to play at the maximum volume as is "It's my Life." "Thank you for loving me" is a typical BJ love song which is worth playing when it's late and you are feeling a little bit down. I think the record has almost convinced my husband that they are worth listening to. I even managed to drag him to the concert last year because he thought "they were worth a look." I think the biggest compliment from him about them was that he could sing to the songs when they came on the radio at work.

Overall, the record scores a big 10 from me, (and that's not only because I'm a fan - I rate These Days as only a 4).

Rating: 10/10
