"Bounce" Review 12 October 2002
Bouncing Brilliant

Bon Jovi's Bounce is set to reach the top of the world.

A review by Christian Weber

The first Bon Jovi record I ever bought was Keep The Faith from 1992. It was also this record which inspired me to play guitar, so I will give my deepest and loudest thanks to Richie !!!.

Bon Jovi's new release, Bounce is as good as a Bon Jovi record should be, and even more. There's a fantastic mix of hard rockers such as Undivided, the smash-single Everyday, Hook Me Up and the title track Bounce, and more slower stuff like Joey, All About Loving You, Love Me Back To Life, You Had Me From Hello and Open All Night. In between there's a track called The Distance which gives you the perfect idea of a band like Bon Jovi, pushing and walking in so many splendid directions. By the end of the day, Bounce stands strong as one of Bon Jovi's greatest albums, uniting inspiration from Slippery When Wet and Keep The Faith. Personal favourites: Undivided, Everyday, Hook Me Up, All About Loving You.

Rating: 9/10
