Ponrauil

spunkywho
10-03-2004, 07:15 AM

Jim Bon Jovi

ice cream is one of my food vices. i can go without crisps n chocolate usually but i LOVE ice cream.

with regards to deep fried chocolate stuff. SOME of it melts and cant be done and others dont. off the top of my head you could get a mars bar, snickers, galaxy and double decker one but you couldnt get a caramel one or anything similar. the galaxy one was the best but ive not had one since primary school.

There is a trendy Indian restaurant near work and sometimes we go there for lunch - that place I LOVE..... but I know what to pick and what not to pick.

V Do u understand girls?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-04-2004, 01:28 AM
all you have to understand is that they're mostly crazy, manipulative, bitchy and like to play games.

when you've got that down they aren't as powerful as they like to think they are

V am i right?

i love girls but they are ****ed up in most cases wehter they're someones sister or daughter is irrelevant.

you just havent met the right (or shoudl that be wrong?) ones yet

V tell us about your 1st kiss 8)

spunkywho
10-04-2004, 03:09 AM
I was probably 13 or 14 and it was this guy who was a family friend of another friend - we held hands the entire new years eve  and I was all ditsy. he sent me love letters for months afterwards, problem was he lived a long way away and unless his parents visited with the other friend, we couldn't see each other - roflmao - yep - intense relationship.

actually he was the only one who sent me love letter  unless you count the threatening/stalking type *shudder*.

not all women are manipulative, etc. Jimi boy - I never lie to a guy and I never play any games - in fact I am EASY - it's the men that don't seem to get it together all that much!!

what about your first kiss?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-04-2004, 03:15 AM
an Aussie bird called Kerri Ann Odd lol

it was in my last year of primary school so i musta been 10 or 11. I'd fancied her for ages n we ended up going out for a staggering 5 days :D

She was pretty hot actually and loved bon jovi which was a bonus. We ended up regularly winching again in high school but she moved to Cornwall while we were doing it. not literally while we were winching obviously.

V any bands you're absolutely gutted that have split up?

spunkywho
10-04-2004, 03:31 AM
what were you doing kissing at 10 years old????/

soundgarden and stone temple pilots ---- can't decide which is worse to have split.

Jim Bon Jovi
10-04-2004, 03:40 AM
10 was a pretty average age for it round here.

James. best british band in the past 2 decades. 20 years they were goign and they still werent stagnant. I think their singer just wanted to branch out.

UKjovi
10-04-2004, 04:15 PM

do you then?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-04-2004, 04:22 PM
I have an idea of what God is and what it rep[resents but it's nothing at all like the religious idea of God.

An interesting point our history tutor brought up today that back in the day when henry the 8th n all that kicked around, the Kings preffered Episcopolitanism because they could choose who was head of the church and as a result, pretty much in control of the masses as opposed to the presbytarians who didnt think you should have hierarchy in the church.

does that not say alot about organised religion?

allmike
10-04-2004, 04:24 PM
yes

I surpose i must do

Do you?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-04-2004, 10:16 PM
we all do.

Muse is about as far away from grunge as the beatles are.

it's kind ahard to pigeon hole them because there aren't many bands out there doing what they're doing. their 1st album showbiz was kinda regarded as another radiohead knock off. origin of symmetry showed them branching off into their own style of operatic anthems and absolution has constinued it.

they're not for everyone and arent the easiest band to ge tinto initially but give them some time and effort and they're well worth it. plus matt bellamy has the coolest guitar ever. that's a plaion fact.

You goign to give them a listen?

spunkywho
10-04-2004, 10:35 PM

lol no really

V Do u spend too much money on dog?

spunkywho
10-09-2004, 06:54 PM
people might say so, but I think responsible pet ownership does come with a price tag. So, my answer is no. They get the healthcare they deserve and they get the best food for them. Just as it should be. Don't get a pet if you don't want to spend a ton of money on it.

do you think most people take pet-ownership too lightly and don't care for them well enough?

allmike
10-09-2004, 07:25 PM
true, but i guess attitude toward it changing

V beside dog and cat, what else u like to have as a pet?

ponrauil

No I'm not a Prince, though charming.

sure they are great, but never had them

V Do u consider having snake as a pet?

spunkywho
10-10-2004, 03:20 AM
I actually did, as my son wanted one.

We might still go for it, but not until he is older and can actually take a big part in the 'upkeep' of a snake terrarium.

is there a big problem with pet-overpopulation where you live?

ponrauil
10-10-2004, 04:34 AM
No, it's much more regulated than in France, so you can actually walk the streets without walking into dog sh*te. One of the little things I don't miss about my homeland... And you don't see that many dogs here, and even fewer cats...

Is it a problem in Seattle?

Ponrauil

spunkywho
10-10-2004, 04:47 AM
there is a huge problem in the US as a whole. More so in the rural, less educated, more backwards areas as the south. But still, it is a big problem up here as well - animal control picks up all the stray dogs, but they will have to be killed - slowly - in gas chambers as many shelters just don't have the money to euthanize them humanely.

I volunteer for a cat and dog rescue group and it makes me sick how many people just go out and buy a puppy at a petstore because it is cute and then dump it because vet care is too expensive or they move and don't care to bring the pet along. I've taken in numerous senior dogs (for the rescue group to then adopt out) that have been dumped because they were old and not so cute anymore, only for the family to go out and get another puppy.

My Molly was on death row at age 9 - nobody wanted her because she is a big black dog - though with the sweetest temperament. She was pulled on her last day and I adopted her from the rescue group that pulled her.

Makes me sick and I could go ballistic over it. :)

People also don't bother to spay/neuter their pets, so there is always an abundance of unwanted litters of dogs and cats.

I call it a huge problem when you have to put down baby dogs and cats because nobody wants them.

Did you grow up with animals?

ponrauil
10-10-2004, 04:57 AM
We had a black labrador when I was a kid in South Africa, but we had to leave her behind when we left for Scotland because of the stupid laws in the UK about bringing in pets. She would have had to stay 6 months in quarantine when she as healthy as can be. So we let her go to a farmer who had a great lemon tree plantation, I think she had a happy life.
Writing this is making me realize that she must be dead now, sad feeling.

Do you think all sorts of pets make sense?

Ponrauil

spunkywho
10-10-2004, 05:03 AM
no - I think it is completely stupid to keep birds - it is torture.

Most exotic pets, I think is ridiculous - including most snakes, lizards and that sort.

Unless you can provide a habitat that is like their own with enough room, I don't think the animal should be kept as a pet.

Do you think the consumerism of our society is contributing to animal cruelty?

allmike
10-10-2004, 05:39 PM
i guess so

V Do u accidently killed any animal?

spunkywho
10-10-2004, 06:10 PM
I killed a bird when I was a kid - we were looking after it while its owner was on vacation  it wasn't particularly 'accidentally' but I didn't mean to kill it either - I still feel guilty about it  :(

you?

allmike
10-10-2004, 06:25 PM
Never i guess, it will freak me out if i harm any animal or bird knowingly or by accident. Wait a min may be a helped to kill a snake not sure :?

spunkywho
10-11-2004, 04:34 AM

spunkywho
10-11-2004, 04:37 AM

I still don't understand the predicament, but I think you need to make up your mind what you want and not change your mind after a few drinks a smiles from a chick ;)

do you know what you want?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-11-2004, 04:40 AM
well i know what i dont want  and i have a fair idea of what i want but ill get back to you on that one

V what do you think i want?

spunkywho
10-11-2004, 06:50 AM
I think mostly you just want to get laid. lol.

Secondly, you want to have fun, though the thought of it scares you as it isn't something you are comfortable with, having been in a serious relationship for so long and so on. Hence, you are struggling with the 'just fun' part vs. the 'not using somebody' part and you are having trouble aligning the two.

Or am I talking about myself???

ponrauil
10-11-2004, 07:10 AM
Would work for the both of you , wouldn't it?

If you're aware of it, what's missing for you to make progress on the matter?

10-11-2004, 10:28 AM
No idea

V why u think it get complicated with age?

UKjovi
10-11-2004, 11:04 AM
Might be because you have more expectations and are not so easily led too.

Do you think people expect too much of you?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-11-2004, 11:26 AM
I dunno.

In some ways people expect alot of me in that I'm the oldest guy in the family apart from my dad and I'm at uni n stuff and in other ways I **** up or people think I need looked after when I don't really.

Jim Bon Jovi
10-11-2004, 06:13 PM

UKjovi
10-11-2004, 06:34 PM

absolutely no marvin gaye....

candles I can do - tablecloth even if it must be

fire in the fireplace - how does that sound?

Not sure what I'll make tonight - I can make steak if I have company, otherwise it'll probably be stir fry without rice (just steak with vegetables) which should suit your diet anyway ;)

will you bring wine?

Jim Bon Jovi
10-13-2004, 03:34 AM
sure what you after? i love julio and ernest gallo colombard or jacobs creek semillion but since you're a woman of class im imagining £5 bottles are below you :P

got to be white though. if you want red im bringing some beer and whisky

whats for dessert?

spunkywho
10-13-2004, 03:43 AM
Oh, don't do white wine, but I promise the red wine I pick will not leave you with heartburn and will go down smoothly.

I used to only drink Merlot, but now it is always Syrah or Shiraz - Australian - Bin 555. :)

Dessert? hmmm, how about white chocolate fondue??
