Jello is gelatin.
Jelly is made from fruit juice and sugar with something like Sure-Gel to give it that substance.
Jam is made from fruit juice and sugar but also has bits of the fruit in it.

I make jam and jelly every year and neither are like gelatin/Jello.

Have you ever heard of eating a peanut butter sandwich with Marshmallow cream instead of jelly/jam?
