If you could have any food right now what would it be?

Peterson
11-26-2007, 06:58 PM
Half a tube of Pringles ;)

When was the last time you were drunk?

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 07:00 PM
Well I drank a bit last night but I wouldn't say I was drunk. I think the last time I was really drunk was on Halloween.

What's your favorite drink?

Thomas Anderson
11-26-2007, 07:02 PM
I don't drink (I presume that you mean favourite alcoholic drink) Talking anything else, then I like Fanta Z :p

Favourite chocolate bar?

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 07:07 PM
I actually don't like chocolate that much. I know it's crazy, girls are supposed to not be able to live without it. :p

If I had to choose I would just say any kind of dark chocolate.

Have you done any Christmas shopping yet?

Thomas Anderson
11-26-2007, 07:12 PM
I've done most of mine already now actually :) I had some spare cash, so got it done. I'm in the process of making my cards now (takes a while, the way I do them, but worth it I think)

What do you want for Christmas? :p

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 07:48 PM
I want someone to give me a $1000 Starbucks gift card. Now that is something I would use. :p

What was the best gift you've ever received?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
11-26-2007, 07:52 PM
My first car from Mum & Dad - a Mazda Mx-5

Do you spend a lot on gifts?

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 07:58 PM
Yes, always. I'm a shopaholic all year long for myself, so it's good to be able to use my addiction to benefit other people as well. :p

Should I get a black Christmas tree?

Thomas Anderson
11-26-2007, 08:07 PM
Well it'd certainly be different. How about one of those upside down ones? That'd make a statement :p

When did you last fart?

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 08:11 PM
I don't remember. I don't exactly keep track.

Have you ever broken a bone?

Thomas Anderson
11-26-2007, 08:27 PM
Not that I remember

Ever mooned anyone? lol

(Don't)Lie_to_me
11-26-2007, 08:30 PM
Probably - I'd have to be in a state that would result in memory-loss to do it :D

Ever skydived (skydove??)?

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 08:33 PM
Not yet but I want to.

Do you have any tattoos?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
11-26-2007, 08:35 PM
Yep, an eagle with spread wings on my spine and across shoulders.

You?

ShaSha
11-26-2007, 08:42 PM
Nope. I'm not against it, just haven't thought of something that I know I'll like forever. I'm the kind of person who gets sick of a shirt after I wear it once or twice.

What's your favorite time of the day?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
11-26-2007, 08:53 PM
Late morning, about 10-12 - I'm on fire, I get loads done at work - I sometimes have nothing to do from lunch till late :D

What do you do? Work-wise I mean.

Alex
11-26-2007, 10:40 PM
Quality Assurance - I get to kick people's asses for a living. God, how I love my job.

What was the last thing you managed to **** up really badly?

ponrauil
11-26-2007, 10:44 PM
What was the last thing you managed to **** up really badly?

Tried to repair Ikea furniture as if I was a woodwork pro. Turns out I'm not.

Don't you just hate the month of November?

Ponrauil

Alex
11-26-2007, 10:45 PM
Yeah, I really do.

Why do you have IKEA furniture? And moreover; why would anyone want to repair it (as opposed to be happy you finally can get rid of the damn thing)?

ponrauil
11-26-2007, 10:49 PM
It's the best price/quality/looks ratio availble in Canada. Canada's the worst place for cool furniture at reasonable price.
You'd want to repair it if you'd broken it while assembling it for the first time.

Plus I used to be a Lego freak. Think there's a link?

Ponrauil

Alex
11-26-2007, 10:52 PM
LOL, there might be, oh builder of furniture by badly written descriptions.

But LEGO can't break, right? And it sure ain't cheap either (just bought the General Grievous thingy from Star War LEGO for my son).

ponrauil
11-26-2007, 10:56 PM
LOL, there might be, oh builder of furniture by badly written descriptions.

No it can't break. It can destroy which is way cooler. LEGO rules.

Should I build my furniture out of LEGO pieces?

Ponrauil

Alex
11-26-2007, 10:58 PM
Holy ****, YES!

Make me some pics when you're done?

ponrauil
11-26-2007, 11:02 PM
Holy ****, YES!

Make me some pics when you're done?

What and come across as a geek? No I'll keep it for myself.

What's geekest for a 30 year old: building furniture out of LEGO or being a Harry Potter freak?

Ponrauil

Alex
11-26-2007, 11:05 PM
LOL, I *knew* you'd make a comment about it - kinda surprised you didn't post a message in the HP thread :)

And I don't care about being a geek; I am proud to be one!

Geekiest thing you've ever done?

ponrauil
11-26-2007, 11:13 PM
Posted 4 249 posts on a forum dedicated to a has-been band.

How geeker can you be?

Ponrauil

Alex
11-26-2007, 11:16 PM
Posting almost 5400 posts on a forum dedicated to a band you've never liked to begin with? :S Bah. Maybe I should cancel my registration here, in order to avoid getting even geekier than I already am - there's a limit to being proud to be a geek alright!

Shall I cancel my registration?

ponrauil
11-26-2007, 11:19 PM
No way, one always needs a geekier being than oneself. So if not for you, stay for me.

Cheesy or geeky?

(gotta leave now...)

Ponrauil

Alex
11-26-2007, 11:21 PM

What did you do today?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
11-27-2007, 01:36 AM
I had a day off work (yay) and went for a good drive - first in ages. Went from Leeds to barnsley to visit my brother, then on through Derbyshire, Cheshire and Clwyd (Wales :)), across the Mersey, through Manchester and back to Leeds. Stopped a few times when I found Wifi hotpots :)

What about you?

BonJovani
11-27-2007, 09:37 AM
I went to work from 8 to 4, then I went to the gym until 7 and then I went home, cooked and enjoyed the evening with my hubby.

Are you a morning person?

Peterson
11-27-2007, 02:33 PM
I don't like mornings, but most of my shifts at work start at 5 or 6am, so I kind of need to be!!

Thomas Anderson
12-05-2007, 07:17 PM

Isn't it a bit pathetic for an adult to have an imaginery friend?

Peterson
12-05-2007, 10:54 PM
Yeah it is.

Did you have an imaginary friend when you were young?

Thomas Anderson
12-05-2007, 11:09 PM

Do you have any hobbies which others consider odd?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
12-05-2007, 11:10 PM
Aside from driving, (many see it as a means to an end - just transport, whereas I drive for pleasure) not really.

Do you write? Poems, songs, books, articles, a blog etc etc etc?

Thomas Anderson
12-05-2007, 11:14 PM
Yes - silly poems, a few personal songs, never a book (though I'd like to), no articles, never really bothered blogging (well I sort of do, but in photographs - a picture is worth a thousand words)

Peterson
12-06-2007, 09:22 PM
Yeah, guess I do...... most of the pics I take are while i'm on drunken nights out though!!!!!!

Do you have a good camera?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
12-06-2007, 09:26 PM

(Don't)Lie_to_me

Me and JJ in the Porsche Cayman, and Lucas and Anna in the BMW 6 Series (both rented: "Don't Be Gentle, It's A Rental" :D), through South Yorks, Nottinghamshire, Leicstershire, Rutland, Northhamptonshire - and then back through Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Second one this year - great fun and lots of cash on it :D

Yvonne
12-30-2007, 08:29 PM
my plans consist of watching take that on tv... cant be bothered anymore with new year!

do you think 2008 will better 2007?

Thomas Anderson
12-30-2007, 08:30 PM
Well in 2007 I finally graduated, and then spent the latter half of the year looking for a job, which I haven't yet managed to succeed in doing - so if I can manage to do that in the first part of 2008 then I'll be very happy.

You have much holiday time off work over this period?

Yvonne
12-30-2007, 08:32 PM
not really, i was off over christmas had today off and am working now until thursday

what type of job are you looking for?

Thomas Anderson
12-30-2007, 08:40 PM
Hopefully something in web/graphic design - though it's been so long now, if something doesn't come up soon I might look into starting my own business, launching a proper website. Not really got many ideas yet, but will work on it.

What do you do?

Yvonne
12-30-2007, 10:14 PM
currently i work for welcome break on the m62

are you happy at this moment in time?

Thomas Anderson
12-30-2007, 10:51 PM
Well I suppose I'm feeling happy enough, but with my life in general, perhaps not

Thomas Anderson

When I had more of it to spend I did - but now I mostly only ever buy food, because the money I have is basically calculated to be enough to cover that I suppose.

What would be your ideal job?

Yvonne
12-31-2007, 02:02 AM
i always wanted to be either an interior designer or graphic designer

whats your ideal job?

Thomas Anderson
12-31-2007, 02:05 AM
Something in web/graphic design. A lot of web design jobs tend to be more technical, more web development - but what I'm interested in is the actual physical designing, so anything that could have me doing layouts for websites or magazines or anything like that and I'd love it. Full creative control :)

How many jobs have you had?

Yvonne
12-31-2007, 02:06 AM
too many to mention!

have you had a job?

Thomas Anderson
12-31-2007, 02:10 AM
Nope, never :( I never felt like I needed one, not even part-time or anything - and now that is bad for me, because with no work experience it's proving hard to find a job. Might just try to start my own business somehow.

What was your favourite job?

Yvonne

are you looking for a permanent job or just one to tide you over?

Thomas Anderson
12-31-2007, 02:22 AM
Well initially I was only really after something permanent - but lately I'm starting to broaden my horizons. If I can get some temp work in an office, even doing something totally different to what I want, it'd be something to put on my CV, give me experience in a working environment - and a bit more money of course too.

Have you ever done a job that you hated?

Yvonne
12-31-2007, 02:24 AM
yep! sales hate it!!!

Thomas Anderson
12-31-2007, 02:28 AM
No, I don't like talking on the phone, generally not even to friends. I've got about 4 hours total call time on my phone - and I've had it over 2 years now.

nope

do you think horoscopes are the truth?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
01-02-2008, 07:10 AM
They can't possibly be - although they seem to be eerily accurate quite often. I think they're written in a weird mental-manipulation style that makes you think they're real....

Do you watch QI?

Thomas Anderson
01-02-2008, 02:53 PM
Yes I do, it's a great show.

...and horoscopes are very general, so out of 6 billion people, if there are a dozen of them, then if you count 500 million people to each one then for some of them it's bound to mention something relevant.

Do you think that people who phone up to vote for TV shows and such are idiots?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
01-02-2008, 06:21 PM
Nah, if they want to fill the pockets of TV execs (and the BBC coffers, which is OK cos it keeps the lisence fee down) who are making poor TV then fine :)

What's your opinion of Harry Potter?

(Don't)Lie_to_me
01-03-2008, 05:50 PM
Semi-well written, over-publicised. And probably the most influential peices of writing in ters of getting kids into reading. The films are dire though.

(Don't)Lie_to_me

Every day pretty much. I read The Times cover to cover while waiting for the 2 people that work under me to start (I start earlier and prepare for the day) and read magazines and books all the time. In fact when I'm out practising driving (just like practising an intrument, more = better) I often pull over for an hour and read :p

01-04-2008, 07:40 PM
Wheres it from/What's it mean?

Thomas Anderson
01-04-2008, 07:43 PM
I honestly have no idea. I made it up when I was a kid, and one day when I was making a website it popped into my head. I should see to getting it copyrighted or tradmarked or something :D

(Don't)Lie_to_me
01-04-2008, 08:05 PM

I don't spend as much time on it as I used to - lately I try to get out more - but a lot of my friends around here are busy, so I end up talking more to my online friends. I don't consider them any less friends just because I haven't met them though - some I am very close to, moreso than most friends that I have met.
