Around my house at Christmas time, we watch many a movie, from Christmas Vacation to A Muppet Christmas Carol to Jingle All the Way and so on. However, my mom takes advantage of the holidays and does not allow me to watch any really violent or explicit movies during this festive and peaceful time. HOWEVER, I found a way around it one year and it has since become a tradition. Two nights ago, I found us all sitting around the television as a big happy family watching the director's cut of Lethal Weapon. Tomorrow, we plan on watching Die Hard. Why are these two movies allowed? They happen at Christmas Time! So it's kind of a weird tradition for us to watch them around Christmas time (every so often, I can sneak Die Hard 2 and Reindeer Games in there as well, since they happen at Christmas Time too).

Oh, and Death Wish 4 also slides under mom's powerful hand as well because one evening whilst searching for some festive shows on television, to our surprise, no Christmas Shows were to be found on Christmas Eve...so we all watched that because it was the best thing on.

I just thought that was rather amusing.

We do that, too! I'm rather sick of all Christmas movies by now, but we still have to do it! However, I can watch Christmas Vacation over and over again and never get tired of it

My parents never bothered what I watched; I saw The Exorcist and the Nightmare On Elm Street movies when I was about 10 (or possibly younger) and I turned out fine, lol.

I'm not really into christmas movies that much though, although I did think the Santa Clause movie with Tim Allen wasn't too bad. I'm more into sci-fi, horror, action...almost anything really, lol.

I think the only christmas movie tradition for us, is watching the 24 hour marathon of A Christmas Story on tv, while we prepare food and wrap some presents for the next day. That movie is usually one when we're opening presents, too...it's that or christmas muisc  i just find A christmas story a bit more humorous and entertaining.
