there are so many i didnt see the point of making a poll...but for me the best are lord of the rings and star wars...likes onf indiana and back to the future i dont think can really compare for me....and the matrix was a big big disspointment...its tragic that the series got worse after such a classic debut.

I wouldn't call, for example, Indiana Jones a trilogy- I'd call it a series of films that there just happens to be three of

Aloha !

Die Hard will do it for me. I can watch them over and over again without getting bored...I can remember the time that whenever my teachers asked me something I answered with : "Simon says..." hehehe. :D

Well I think you can only deem movies a trilogy if they are basically one long movie, split into 3 sections; such as Star Wars (2 trilogies really), The Matrix, Back To The Future, Lord Of The Rings etc. Movies like Indiana Jones and Scream all have different story lines from one movie to the next, retaining only the characters and perhaps small plot points.

My favourites are pretty much all mentioned above, and to be honest I can't think of many more, lol.

boring answer probably, but it's LOTR for me

before I saw part one I hated it actually, but then I saw it on DVD and ever since I'm hooked. For me it has pretty much everything a good movie needs - wonderful pictures, images (gotta love the New Zealand landscapes), effects (Minas Tirith was overwhelming), going with a good soundtrack. I wouldn't mind watching all extended versions in a row - that's how much I like it :)

Aloha !

Terminator isn't really a trilogie I think...the concept is the same yes, but they're three different movies.

Die Hard is 3 different stories, and Alien was a quadrilogy as there where 4 of them.

hm well for me a trilogy is 3 films, seperate story or not :) and besides there is a continuation of the 'Han' or is it 'Kahn' conflict and his bro wants to kill willis in the 3rd

I know that 3 movies constitute a trilogy, but for me it is only a true trilogy when it is one long story. Small plot continuations do not link movies together strongly enough for me, ala Scream or Die Hard, only ones like Lord Of The Rings, Back To The Future, Star Wars and The Matrix are true trilogies to me.

yeah, but i felt that the first matrix was its own complete film, and the other two just follwed suit, similar to die hard. i guess the batman series dont count as a trilogy huh...

is kill bill gonna be two parts or three? i thought that was a great film.

Lord of the Rings is without a doubt my favorite. Back to the Future runs a very close second though. The Godfather movies rock, and so does Star Wars (the originals from my childhood, not the new ones!). I still consider Indiana Jones a trilogy. I know it's not one continuous storyline, but I just really like Harrison Ford.
