If you are talking about Alien Quadralogy, that 9-disc box set, and you don´t already have that older 5-disc box set, then the answer to your question is shit yeah. If you already have that 5-disc set, then I´m not sure whether to buy it or not. I have that 5-disc set and I won´t be buying Quadralogy although it would be interesting to see those alternative versions.

It was released before christmas. I've only seen the first movie, and didn't think it was that good, but I read the first 3 books and as a whole it was quite good, so I will probably get around to watching the others soon.

Also, Alien Vs Predator is in production, and should be released this summer I think.

Aliens is the best of the 4 IMO. I have Alien and Aliens on DVD and can't be bothered spending that much when I have pretty much half of the material already. What's this about alternative versions though?

Aliens (the second) and Alien 3 are the best in my opinion, but Alien: Resurrection isn't bad at all either. I didn't really like the first one either, though.
