I read somewhere that Andy Serkis' acceptance speech from MTV Movie Awards (where Gollum steels the award from him :D) is supposed to be on The Two Towers Special Edition DVD. Is this true? Because I can't find it on my DVD...

It´s an easter egg.

Disc one. To access the MTV Movie Awards clip of Andy Serkis and Gollum accepting the award for Best Virtual Performance (3 min, 16x9, DD 2.0), go to the last page of the scene selections menu area and select 'Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit'. Then navigate "down" to reveal a hidden Ring symbol. Press "Enter".

Thanks for the info...I was trying it on disc 2, as with the hidden trailer on the first movie. I'll give it a try later.

I haven't seen the uncut version before, it should be funny.

I can't find it!!!! :cry:

I've gone to the scene selection and found 'Of herbs and stewed rabbit' but when I select it, the film chapter starts. How do you bring up the hidden ring symbol? Please help as I've been trying to figure it out for ages! :)

Same as me, obviously the original poster has the Region 1 disc, and we have region 2.

A similar thing happened with the Fellowship DVD, as the R1 disc had the MTV spoof with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jack Black, but R2 didn't :(

When i went to look for it, i realized i didn't have the dvd...my sister does :( and she lives elsewhere. but i can never remember what region is where; that's why i like that region 0 or whatever, where they can play anywhere; so i'm not sure which region she'd have

And you´re sure that you have that Extended Edition of the movie, package that has 4 dvd´s. I don´t think it´s on that regular 2-disc version.

Apparently UK-version doesn´t have it.

You´re sure that you have that Extended Edition of the movie, package that has 4 dvd´s. I don´t think it´s on that regular 2-disc version.

Apparently UK-version doesn´t have it. Finnish version has it.

Yeah, I have the extended version but unfortunately its also the Region 2 European version too! Oh well......... :roll: :(

Well, I finally figured it out. When you get to "Of herbs and stewed rabbit" you press the arrow down button on the remote control and then the ring appears. Then chose the play or okay button and there it is ~ the very hilarious acceptance speech :D

But it's only on the 4-disc version

Yeah, I've tried that but it just jumps back up to chapter 1. Must only be on a different Region encoding DVD. :(

It does that on mine too :oops: I tried it with a friend's DVD and it worked fine (was also the 4-disc version, region 2 - same as mine), but when I got home and tried on my own it didn't work. Just jumped to chapter 1 like yours, so now I'm :twisted: again...

Did find the secret stuff on "The Fellowship" though, it's on disc 2. But that's just a preview of "The Two Towers", so it's not really that interesting... I want Gollum's speech!!!! :evil:
