It says in the previews that its based on a true life story.
Anyone know it?

I've seen the trailer, but it looks really boring. Of course that won't stop hoards of women going just to see Viggo Mortensen, lol

Aragorn in the desert. Probably not too great, and it doesn't look like a true sory to me. Trailer looks like something between Indy and The Mummy.

My thoughts exactly! But we are quite proud of Viggo here in Denmark, so I might go watch it - ha ha :D

Well if you'd payed attention to the trailer it does say based on a true story, so although it seems a bit weird it is based on a true story

Whether it is BASED on a true story or REALLY true is not what I meant. Even Erin Brockovich is 'made up' for the screen to serve dramaturgic rules of a film, yet it is a true story.
I meant I can't see anything real behind Hidalgo (out of the Trailer), that does not mean there is nothing real to it. It just appeared completely made up to me.
