The Return of the King tied the record with most Oscars (11) with Titanic and Ben-Hur. Also outdoing Star Wars (10).

Ben hur got 11 out of 12 and Titanic 11 out of 14. So The Return Of The King even beats them.
The original Star Wars TRILOGY got 10, The Lord Of The Rings trilogy 'owns' 17!

Yea, I know that... I was just doing it the simple way. :D I was comparing the one LOTR movie to the Star Wars Trilogy, you noticed that. Pretty good I say.

What I like is Patton, which is a war film, was released during the Vietnam war and still pulled 7 Acadamy Awards when most producers would not have dared to release a war film.

Actually George C. Scott refused to accept his award, so Patton won 7 but got only 6.

I got the dvd. Its got a historian in charge of the GSP Jnr's Memorial Society giving a brief run down of his life. Its pretty cool.

At home, his daughters would catch him making faces in front of the mirror. They would ask "What are you doing daddy?", "I'm practicing my war face sweaty." he would reply "When I go to war, I want those sons-a-bitches to be scared to hell from me."

Or something to that tune.
