Please tell me you're kidding...Disney haven't "come up" with it, it's a classic story, made into cartoons many times, but I think it's finally getting a live action rendition this time.

I think a Disney version of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe would be good. I used to love that story!

There was a trilogy I think. There was the first one with some magic rings or something, where Narnia is basically created, and then the second book is The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, which of course is a story most people know, and then there was third one which I never read.
I think the book is still in my room somewhere, lol....and it might sound sad, but it's a movie I might watch when it's released, lol.

Theres an old animated version I used to have on tape as a kid that was good.
Oh, there's a bit of info on the Disney project anyway:

So you'll have to wait until next Christmas then I'm afraid.

Ah, yes, if they want to reach that release date - they better CHOP CHOP with those casting projects. I've heard that they havent even started yet. I wonder who will be in it.

As long as they have the cast ready to start filming in summer they should have it reay in time easily...when I said next Christmas I ment NEXT year, ie Christmas 2005.
I'd expect it could go on for 2-3 hours, but maybe not too long for the theatrical release as it would bore all the younger children, but the DVD could have a directors cut or something.

You people are all uneducated swinebags :D Tis in fact a SEVEN part story:
1. The Magicians Nephew
2. The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe
3. The Horse And His Boy
4. Prince Caspian
5. The Voyage Of The DawnTreader
6. The Silver Chair (the best one IMO 8) )
7. The Last Battle
I re-read the entire series again a little while ago. It rocks

I have a book comprising of the first 3, and I've only read the first 2 of that book (I actually found it in my wardrobe yesterday, may read it when I have some time)
Well anyway Disney have apparently got the license to make more from the series, but obviously they wold only go ahead with that if this one is a success.
