I'm glad.

Much like with Super Bowl halftime show, same with RNR HOF induction ceremony. The time has passed. Jon is incapable of delivering a performance that would make us proud as fans. Jon in 2015 singing Bon Jovi hits on a big stage and largely televised event would do them more harm than good. The less people from 'general public' realize the state of Bon Jovi nowadays, the happier I am as a fan.

Also, it's not like RNR HOF is some very credible club that only if you are inducted you can say that you 'made it'.

Truth be told, the legacy and the influence the band has had on modern artists has only waned over the course of the years.

With Richie gone, it's going to be harder than ever.

What would that have to do with it? They'd be getting in based on their legacy, not the current state of the band. Hell, if CCR can make it in in the shape they are/were in, Richie not being in the band won't be the reason they're not getting in.

I'm not going to lie, BJ getting snubbed again peevs me. But honestly, this is a bigger blow to the integrity of that institution than it is to this bands legacy. So f them.

We need to get organized and get judge Dave Marsh to recuse himself, since he's publicly stated that Bon Jovi will never get in, and since his wife works for Bruce Springsteen.

But CCR was a critic's band while Bon Jovi was not -- the judges/critics see CCR's legacy as being influential, valuable -- and most important, credible. Richie's absence will make it easier for them to disregard Bon Jovi as a "real" band, despite their being influential enough to pave the way to success to all the other harder-rocking commercial bands. Of course I don't agree, I'm just trying to look at how THEY'RE trying to justify their actions.

Fair enough. I just don't agree and think they're x amount of years from being a successful relevant act that the damage was done, Richie leaving or not. Touring is a whole 'nother ball game, but they'll still get similar numbers to last tour next tour. I think the past stands for itself and if they don't get in it won't have to do with Richie being gone, just my opinion.

I know it won't happen but I would love for them to respectfully decline if they ever get nominated or chosen. Joe Elliot said that's what DL would do if they ever get offered the chance. In fact, every band should do that and make the Hall aware of what a joke they have become....

I like that it makes the news every year that Bon Jovi don't make it to the HoF. It just further emphasises how redundant the institution has become.
