That's almost 1:1! Combine that with The Killers' "Caution" which I'm almost 100% sure Jon had heard just before going for the song (due to the combination of him liking the band / the release date and the lockdown phase around that) and you have "Do What You Can".

Caution VS Do what you can comparison feels like the Levon VS Joey. I hear many similarities there.

This is a song related to BB, written almost in the same period with a similar rhythm, and I believe you can identify the references.

There used to be a song called 'Adois' which I assume was mistyped on the Jon Bon Jovi ASCAP catalog, but all the information disappeared from that site. Now, here is another song that sounds pretty familiar to 'Living With the Ghost:

There's a possibility that there was an assignment, which is a transfer of copyright (or part of it), from a copyright owner (the assignor) to a third party (the assignee), such that the assignee becomes the owner of that copyright. I hope this could shed light on your concern.
