Some need that from TMZ and don't get it. Most users here don't need endless journalism on a discussion board and still get it. The world's a crazy place

You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometime, you just might find you get what you need!

My apologies if I seemed to imply that they are liars. I was aiming for implying that they are lazy incompetent ignoramuses.

The sad thing is that ppl hear are making it into a Jon v Richie thing again, and these two incidences are so different. While both were invited guests to weddings, one was willing to sing and the other was not, simple as that! Richie wanted to sing and he was welcome to, there was no objection from his nephew, on the other hand, Jon and Dorothea were guests at a wedding that already had entertainment booked, and Jon had no intention to sing or anything, just enjoy a friend's wedding reception, sadly, no one informed the "wedding singer", so she took advantage when she saw Jon and had him sing with her, without his permission. Jon only agreed because he was put on the spot and he did not want to be rude, but u can see he was not too thrilled neither, maybe a bit amused, but not excited to sing either.

No one informed the wedding singer? She's changed her story AGAIN???

According to the wedding singer herself, she was informed that Jon DID want to sing, so she worked up an arrangement of the song with her band. That suggests she had at least 12 hours' advance notice, none of which she spent arranging the song in a key suitable for both of them. That's what put Jon on the spot: I guess he thought he'd been dealing with fellow musical professionals. And by admitting it online (which has since disappeared) she's put her future on the spot as well -- is Lourdes Valentin the winner of the Next Hannibal Buress award?

You can tell from the video that Jon does NOT want to get up and sing, so the wedding singer is full of manure.

The wedding singer stitched him up good and proper there. But then clearly she's just done it to "go viral" which seems to be the aim of everyone these days so at Jon's expense be it for her 5 mins of fame

Default Update: Lourdes has finally emerged from her bunker

Quote:
Miami Herald: Lourdes Valentin wants to set the record straight.

...According to a video circulating around YouTube...Bon Jovi at first looked reluctant when Valentin began singing his 1986 hit Livin’ on a Prayer and gestured to bring him up to the stage and yelled, “Cmon!”
Gestured? She left the stage area, approached him like a panther on the prowl, and practically shoved the microphone down his throat!

Quote:
Valentin reports that she asked the Bon Jovi frontman beforehand if he was interested in performing with her.
“He told me, ‘I don’t think I’m gonna sing, but let’s see how the night goes.’”
How psychic of him -- he must have sensed that Lourdes wasn't professional enough to have arranged the song in a compatible key. Nonetheless, her latest version of what happened doesn't absolve her, because if she knew that he was leaning toward not singing, that's all the more reason why she shouldn't have approached him physically.

Quote:
Since the video was posted, Valentin says she has been getting her share of haters. The New York Daily News’ headline read: Jon Bon Jovi resentfully sings 'Livin' on a Prayer' at wedding. Slate’s headline said he “reluctantly” participated. YouTube commenters complain he was “ambushed” and “put on the spot.”

“It was such a great, beautiful moment,” said the Aventura resident. “I was surprised by how much criticism it received.”
Do these look like Jon is experiencing a "great, beautiful moment" to you?

No wonder he left the country without uttering a word on the subject. The story has gone international. Happy wash day, Lourdes -- and may your next gig be at a beer pong tournament.
