I gave it a 10. But I would like to give it a 100. A masterpiece.

9. A truly wonderful song.

And my favourite live performance is actually from New Jersey in 2006. Jon forgets the lyrics, the solo is not the same etc. but there's a magic to it, a special vibe. I can't describe it, but it's beautiful.

I love the lyrics for the song, but... and I wouldn't disagree if I was accused of being irrational, but the similarity to Blaze of Glory with the last verse, *cue thunderclap drums leading into last chorus.* It just bugs me and always has. The chorus has also never really convinced me. It just bores.

Mind you, I'm giving it an 8. The band is what makes the the song shine and they all get showcased throughout the song.

I've witnessed it done live 3 times now. Twice with Richie and once with Phil X. I can't say I was blown away any of those times, but grateful to at least have the opportunity to hear it for myself. It's one of those songs that needs to be done in an intimate venue with every bit of focus on the musicianship across the entire band.

9/10

It's a masterpiece, without doubt, but there are just a few songs that edges it out by a few margins that are true and flawless 10's. DC still is Bon Jovi's Stairway To Heaven, no matter how you look at it.

I get opinions are subjective, but come on...
Different types of songs with different standards. You aren't going to compare YGLABN to Dry County.

It's a good song but I never got the adoration it receives from fans.

It's not even the best song on KTF for me and I sometimes think it's the length of the song that gets the plaudits rather than the content.

I hate that this poll doesn't show who voted what. The troll that gave it a 1 should be banned.
