Jon for once changes the lyrics to "like Sinatra said I did it my way". Very good performance!

That's a cool find. I kind of wish that was the lyric.

I remember very well that Jon always talked about how Richie said people wouldn't know who "Frankie" was. I think using the last name was much better and it fits in just as well in the song.

I disagree. It sounded great to sing once, but as a lyric "Frankie said I did it my way" is a lot more subtle and actually makes a listener think to remember the reference (because you have to know Sinatra and that song), so I think it's fine the way they did it.

Oh I have no problem with the way it was done, but I don't think Jon should have always been bring it up about how Richie didn't agree with him about it. It just made it seem like Jon had to keep making it clear who was the Boss when everybody including Richie knew full well who the Boss was.

That's what the band was all about for 30 years

But to be fair, it doesn't seem to me that the Frankie story got any more air time than the story about Jon not thinking LOAP would be a hit and didn't want it on the album until Richie (and Des, in a few of the stories, iirc) convinced him. So in the he said/he said category, the two stories kinda balance each other.
