It's just one interview, no?

All the information he gave came from the radio interview. That's what we are discussing here.

But Desmond didn't say that they hadn't talked. He said that he wasn't coming back to the band. Richie said that they have talked, which is different to what he's been saying for the past 10 years, so I've no reason to doubt that. Maybe about the documentary that is happening for the 40th anniversary. Richie needs to be part of that at the very least.

Desmond has been around Jon long enough to be trusted by now surely? Although I guess you never really know what their relationship truely is. People always thought Jon and Richie were best buddies, I suppose...

If Jon can't or doesn't want to bring Richie back for the 40th anniversary, this be sorely disappointed.

About Richie's new music, and its release in April... I'm skeptical. We'll see what happens then.

I told you. Richie Sambora is full of s*.

And, trust me, we will never listen to another solo record from him again, while he's alive.

It's all hype about a man that definitely has lost it.

Still can't believe how one of the coolest rockstars of the world ended like this: liying about forcing return to a band he left in a middle of a tour.

It's all strange - While I do think Richie will be involved in the 40th somehow I always go back to that rock hall on the spot interview about Richie rejoining the band - Jon's response "Richie has his solo career" I.e You made your bed pal now go lie in it. The whole Richie saying "We have to do it for the fans" sounds like nothing but stirring shit to get some response/action from Jon. And if you really wanted back why would you slate Jon's voice (I'm not saying it's not a breath of fresh air to get some honesty) when you know Jons a very private bloke! - I dunno maybe they reconciled over Alec but with the band and writing again I feel Richie thought it was gonna go a different way but Jon's still burnt.

it all sounds weird...Richie likes to oversell everything BUT he is not stupid...i wonder why he d say sth like this if it wasnt true...and all these months we had some key players from the bj camp verifying a reunion...
it looks like many things are not sorted out and maybe Richie tries to force his way back or maybe jon is in one of his moods and not letting Richie back...
IF Richie is healthy enough and wants backs imo should definitely be back...he was a crucial part of the band and not just an expandable past employee...
jon has the final say in that, but i hope he doesnt act selfishly and short sighted.

ps. I wonder why jon moved to florida...his football palls live there or it was voice related?? more humidity less stress different environment..

The guy’s a trainwreck. But I’d love to get him back in the band.

And this is part of the problem. Most of the time Richie is treated like he was just another band member by Jon, rather than acknowledging what an important part of the band he was, and how important their partnership was. And this is why Richie feels like he constantly has to big himself up.

Honestly they both just need to be locked in a room and sort it out. They are both as bad as each other.

Let's see what the 40th anniversary brings, I'd be happy with him just being involved in the documentary, but if it turns out the Richie is completely excluded from the celebrations, then I think I will be done with this "band"...

true... and in many ways jon is also guilty taking most of the credit and making the other members feel like hired guns..

if what desmond said is valid i am truly diassapointed from them...holding a grudge after all these years and the things they achieved together...being bitter and destroying their legacy just because they cant let go?
