Basically, you are saying it's ok to critisize them, but it's not ok to see the positives, which is pretty pathetic. If one is ok, then so should the other be.

You can either accept what we have from Jon at Richie nowadays, or just bitch and moan about what he have. Comparing them to other bands (or restuarants!?) is pointless, we know it's a sad state of existance in Bon Jovi land. What's the point in crying about it everytime Jon or Richie do anything? We all know the score here...there is nothing to be gained from comapring them to how they used to be. It's never going to be anything close to that again, that ship has sailed for them both...
I don't think he's complaining. This is a discussion board and he's just giving his opinion as to what he sees and hears.

Just because it doesn't fit your narrative and view points doesn't mean it's wrong.

Actually you got that backwards. He was the one that was saying my opinion wasn't valid because it didn't match his, not the other way around. Everyone is completely allowed their opinion, whether it's negative or positive, as I blatenly pointed out in my last post. It doesn't mean I have to be negative, just because he can't see any positives.

Meh, the old "don't come here" thing is old news. If people want to hate watch/listen, they can. Gatekeeping who should use the forum is pointless.

Absolutely, completely agree. I don't think anyone is saying it's not okay to see positives though, rather a pushback on what "not bad" means. In what context was the performance not bad, when in reality you should be getting more from a 40-year veteran musician? I am not comparing him to how he used to be, but do have expectations of how he should be.

At the same time, I agree that if people get enjoyment - even some - from it then that is great too and doesn't need to be attacked. At the end of the day, we can have different opinions and both sides should be able to debate it and not be shut down by the other.

Oh I agree completely. I just have to wonder why people bother coming here only to be negative. It's the same people that never have anything positive to say, which is fine, but I feel like it would be exhausting to be a fan like that. Each to their own though. I guess it's the whole glass half full, glass half empty perspective.

Cheers for that 2000-2011 era, specially 2008-2011. Many many real good concerts, and that 2011 Hyde Park... awesome.

Good days that we will always remember, but they will never come back.

I really wish a good future for all members, happiness, and wellbeing. But Bon Jovi, as a band, is over.

You speak the truth. They're done and that's ok. Who could have imagined they'd still be around in 2020 back in 1992 ?

Well at least we know he's involved in the documentary.

Richie saying he is, and him actually being involved are not the same thing. I'd take everything that comes out of Richie with a mountain of salt.
