It SOUNDS like he was saying if the surgery wasn't a thing he was on track to rejoin? But they didn't reconnect until AFTER the doc was done so I can't tell if it was wishful thinking or there was actually talks.

EDIT: He's saying he played accordian on a bunch of Bon Jovi records, I can only think of a handful of songs that made the albums that included the accordian so that might mean more are in the vault OR it was him playing on Only in My Dreams, Miss 4th of July and Something for the Pain and not David as assumed. I can't think of any other accordian songs but if y'all remember more let me know.

This Shifty interview was great. Richie can still play very well despite having some coordination issues, which I'm pretty sure is a long term consequence of drinking. I've seen it before in other players, it takes a toll at some point.
He's very much sober in this interview.

We heard a small little bit of that song in Udine 2011. That was a hell of a good concert all the way around but just the fact that they attempted to play that song made it a special night.

Nope, this is definitely not the one I'm talking about. The version that I've mentioned doesn't include any percussion, just acoustic guitar and strings and Richie's voice off course
