Today someone I haven’t seen for 20 odd years has put some video’s on Facebook from 1992 when a bunch of people were in a pub watching my sisters band play gig. She used to play bass.

In total there are 3 videos and in those videos there is a young 17 year old me goofing around with a girl I was with from 89-96. We both loved rock and especially Bon Jovi.

In the video I have stupid hair and a classic Skid Row Monkey Business T-shirt on.
So I start reminiscing.

Today I'm at work so I click on Spotify and go straight to Jovi and pick out songs from the first 6 albums.

This is why I still love this band after 26 years. They have been with me since I was 14 and every album/song represents a chapter in my life.
I play these (early) songs and I'm immediately so happy and so proud to love this Band.
The early songs are so strong and JBJs voices makes the hairs on back of my neck stand up. The band are no doubt the best in the world in this era. No one can touch them.

I'm lucky that every girlfriend I've ever had has loved Bon Jovi and me and the wife have Keep The Faith engraved on our wedding rings.

This is the thing with this band - Even when the current situation isn't great, you can't deny their legacy or forget their awesomeness of the past.

I have only been a fan since 2006 and am quite young but they have dominated most of my life and I can attribute countless memories to Bon Jovi. They are still the band I can always go back to and the first band I really fell in love with.
