Jon did that "American Pie" rendition at one of the KOS shows back in 14 I believe? Genuinely, the last vocal performance I enjoyed.

Lately I've been really digging this one. It's simple but it was well done and worked nicely as an opener:

It was also done with the band before:

The House of the Rising Sun was a brilliant rendition as well

Some depend on when the cover was performed...Not Fade Away has changed drastically throughout the years for example.

There are also so many bootlegs in poor quality that get overlooked. I'll have to go through my collection to give an accurate list.

Some that instantly come to mind:
  • Heartbreak Hotel
  • Only Make-Believe
  • Bridge Over Troubled Water (Especially from '94)
  • You Belong To Me

I've actually made Professionally Recorded Covers part of my main collection. I'm hoping as AI continues to improve, all those Bootleg covers will get a rebirth. As well as some of those early Home Recordings - Pre-Production Demos, etc

For those who saw what they did with The Beatles demo, I'm hoping fans can do that as technologically improves. Being able to separate tracks is key. Removing a hiss or fans screaming could advance a fans catalog.

Oh and it used to be a short one so I don't know if it counts, but Midnight Rider is mindblowing. Stockholm 1993, more precisely.

Did we ever have a thread where we tried to assemble all covers ever played by the band / Jon solo / Richie solo? Would be something nice I'd say

I always had a very soft spot for It’s my life/We gotta get out of this place. All in all, any cover from 1992-1993 does it for me.

Honorable Mentions:
- Hallelujah
- With a little help of my friends
- Drift away
- Rocking in the free world
- Do you love me (I specially loved the transition to Twist and shout)
- Turn the page
- Pretty woman (they did it standalone in the last show I attended)

It’s hard to mention just a few, and I’m pretty sure I missed some of my favorites.

Edit: Yes, I totally missed Have a little faith in me!

Out of the old ones, Drift Away and With A Little Help From My Friends would definitely be my picks. From the later era, I absolutely loved Jon’s 2014 Red Bank performance of American Pie, but also liked The House Of The Rising Sun and I Put A Spell On You from Bahamas 2019 a lot:

Good idea...

The list needs to be separated by completed songs and partial/interludes
