That's quite early for a band that "don't rehearse".

My guessing is they're going make new arrangements for some songs (lowering the key, Whitesnake style), because it got to the point where the even must-play songs are vocally unreachable for Jon in the key they've been playing for the last 20 years. Now it's way more difficult to compile a respectable setlist than "let's just not play Always or any rarities" when you can't even sing Bad Name.

There is also a whole new album of material that nobody but Jon is familiar with...

Well, since Have A Nice Day they "officially" rehearsed before going on tour.
And on all those earlier tours I'm 100% sure that they rehearsed as well and that it was just some kind of swaggering when Jon told that they never rehearsed. Just to show what a great live band they are without even rehearsing.

For every band rehearsals are an unevitable thing. Without rehearsals you can't put on a show like Bon Jovi did. Especially in the 80s they usually played the songs quite different than on the albums (extended versions, different speed, ad libs, all those coversongs). And you can't do that without a couple of days rehearsing. And much less when your bass player didn't even play on the albums.

How can someone's voice go to shit in just two years?

Hope, I really hope that his vocals are better this tour than they were in 2013.

Looks like Always is going to be played, judging on Phil's presets. Also, he played the Bad Name solo in Vancouver, so it's likely that it will continue on the tour with the band.

However, David and Obie also have those ridiculously long lists for all kinds of songs for their presets and stuff, and considering Jon's voice is dangerously thin...

Even when Jon was in a good voice shape like in The Circle Tour he doesn't go for songs like Always in the first few shows, mainly because it takes a lot of shows to get his pipes going. An judging by the state of his voice, I don't think he can sing Always ever again.

I'm so glad i went the 2011 European Tour !!

He couldn't sing Always in 2013 either and still went for it.

But yeah, the European tour in 2011 was pretty much the last good Bon Jovi tour. It's just never going to be that good ever again, which is why I don't understand how people can still be arsed with this 2015 tour.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Oh the memories. This was such a magical moment for me I just stood there, silent, staring and listening and feeling it. Sigh.

What do you expect ticket prices to be in the USA for the next tour? I'm not sure I'll be able to go to a show if the tickets are outrageous because it will require traveling in addition to tickets. There is no venue that would meet their standards in the Jackson area.
