I don't see your critique of anyone for taking digs at Jon to defend Richie... just sayin....

My goal was not to draw up an exhaustive list of Richie's and Jon's most recent activities but to underline the common points and differences in their respective schedules. Because I read between the lines of Supersonic's post that Richie has been playing in less and less prestigious places since he left the band whereas had he stayed, he'd still be performing in huge venues and at prestigious shows and events. But maybe I read too much in his message and since he still hasn't answered my question...
So it was NOT a Team Richie vs Team Jon story but a Richie the (not so) solo artist vs Bon Jovi the band, that's why I mentioned Tico (the 3 of them appeared separately at events involving sports, hence the parallel I made). I didn'tmention David because I forgot he was at the
Night of Too Many Stars show and apart from this and his "Memphis"-related events, we don't see much of him.
I didn't "conveniently leave out" things, I made it appear just the way it is in the media: Jon has been spending
a lot more time collecting humanitarian awards, delivering speeches and hanging out with businessmen and politicians than anything else.
Anyway, you've got some nerve, girl! Who created the "Jon's Philanthropic Work" thread? Who made it a sticky? Who placed it at the top of the list so that it's the very first thing one sees when surfing in this part of the board?
That's
3 things that clearly show that this part of his life is
your priority. Looks like ticos_stick is right: you're indeed Jon's PR guru!
And who created (a trashcan) an all-purpose thread to list Richie & Ori's appearances as if each of them were all the same and didn't deserve a dedicated thread whereas Jon's appearances do? Why no "Jon appearances" thread? And why on earth did you put it in the "Tour Discussion" section of the board?Hello? What/whose tour? There's no tour at all, just occasional and varied appearances. What's the "General Discussion" section for then? It says, "Discuss everything related to Bon Jovi (the band or individual members') activities here - latest news, rumors, songs,
appearances,..."
So what's your point? There may be a method to your madness but all I see is bias and lack of organization. Either we respect what the admin decided or we need to redefine the different parts of this board. Just saying.
For the record, I'm not taking sides, I explained where I stood before. If I was Richie's mother (I'd look like he did at the Kentucky derby Today Show
) but I'm not *sigh of relief* so I won't defend him tooth and nails, I'm just trying to balance opinions and comments because these days this board is all about Saint Jon-the-flawless vs Richie the loser/has-been/trainwreck and I find it stupid and childish. Richie has devoted 30 years to the band, he has earned the right to now go at his own pace as he put it. I'm happy to see him happy because he can do what he likes best and I can't wait to hear his next album. I can't say the same about Jon or BJ next album whichever it will be because Jon doesn't seem to enjoy making music anymore so I'm afraid the next one will be just another WAN if not worse.
Anyway, back to business now!
Orianthi will be playing there May 17th, Richie's not listed, but he may guest, who knows?
