He is ok with that, that's why he make appearances similar to that one for 2 years.

If Richie wants to play the LOAP solo differently, why not? He's not into a cover band, he doesn't have to play note for note, and if he misses 1 or 2, wtf? it's not classical music, it's only r'n'r!

Where he used to be a god when it came to improvising a certain solo or song on the spot, he seems to have lost this talent completely and most of his efforts in doing so recently have been rather poor.
