Default So when can we expect European dates for 2016?

Hello everyone,

With a new album set for a spring release and an accompanying tour presumably happening next year, when will the guys announce European dates? Based on past experience, the dates are usually announced in late-October/early-November. So what is your opinion - will we get the dates in a few weeks or we'll have to wait longer this time?

P.S. : Just like anyone else on this board, I also noticed that Jon's voice during the most recent Asian tour was shot and he did not sound good at all. Nevertheless, I still hope for a miraculous return to form next year. After all, I am still a huge fan of the band and wish them nothing but the best.

They'll have to set up some kind of record/distribution deal by springtime -- that has to be their first "miraculous return to form." Or do they want to go straight to the nostalgia circuit?

The record deal must be sealed already. Otherwise, Jon would not have announced an April/May release in the first place. Regarding your "nostalgia circuit"comment - the band may find novel ways to market and distribute the new record, but a tour is a tour no matter when and where it takes place, and dates are usually released a few months in advance. That is why I have set up this speculation thread.

Yep! He signed with Azoff months ago and a JTer recently noticed that Jon had left ASCAP, here's why I guess:

Unless I'm misinterpreting things, this isn't the record deal, it's the publishing. The deal is still to be determined, right?

Azoff's new company does it all, read the articles I linked to before or ask Google.

I AM reading the articles, I'm just not clear on the role he is going to take in the band's future, hence me stating I may be misinterpreting it. As far as I knew his company is managing the band and dealing with the publishing, I didn't realize it included distribution and promotion/marketing too.

By "before" I meant older articles that explain that Azoff's new company is a record company under another name. I posted quite a few links in the different threads dealing with Jon's problems with UMG and his signing with Azoff.

If it does, they should be shouting it from the rooftops -- if only to prove that there IS life after Richie.

Bottom line: In the absence of a record label, who IS going to be investing in promoting and marketing the next Bon Jovi album, and how much?

P.S. Azoff is managing both Jon and the band -- hope they've set down a conflict of interest policy.
