Richie Sambora is two things:

1 - An incredibly talented musician, probably the most talented to come out of the entire commercial hard rock era of the 80s. With or without Bon Jovi, the man was just sprouting with musicianship.

2. An incredible MORON!


Whichever way you look at it, he's not nothing.

In Jon's words Richie will always be a member of Bon Jovi until Richie says he isn't. Richie never said he quit. The fans are just jumping to conclusions. This shows he still describes himself as a member and should actually be a good sign to anyone who wants the band back together.

ummmm, from that point of view, we could say that Joe Perry is nothing without Aerosmith. His solo albums do not sell, and only 2.000 people filled enclosures.

The fame and star of a guitar player is always lower than that of a star singer. Slash had to work very hard for many years to get to where he is now, and still can not fill stadiums.

Richie has been bleeding for 30 Years with Bon Jovi. He has earned that right.

That means jack shit. Richie is/was trying to acclaim credibility and commercialism. And failed miserably. He is NOTHING without Bon Jovi. He's tried it 3 times and failed. Even though album 1 was a masterclass.

Bon Jovi fans are obsessed with commercial success. It's sad they see everything that doesn't have mainstream success as "nothing".

If that was aimed at me, then please tell me where I want Bon Jovi to be commercially successful. Because I haven't. Read again.
