Oh the irony of Elvis behind Richie when everyone knows Jon was/is a big Elvis fan. I bet he purposely stood in that spot. It's a conspiracy I tell ya! LOL

Which also throws out any theory that Richie needed to look after Ava - which was the last rational explanation I had.
