I think it's a good move to play support for a classic rock band like Bad Company. I don't think his drunken jam littered type of performances would gain him any new fans so he really does need to shape up to make the most of this.

Just got back from Richie's show. They played the standard Bon Jovi songs, some Orianthi stuff and some other songs I don't know. From his albuns just Stranger and Every Road, which is a shame. No Seven Years Gone is a bummer.
But the show was awesome, Richie was sloppy only one or two times and he was really energetic!
Their bass player is ****ING AWESOME. Really, he is.
Their drummer is skilled and keyboardist is OK.
After the show, Richie went outside the building and signed stuff for fans, something we didn't expect. That was a nice gesture.

Any questions?

Sure, setlist? first song opener? some jovi song different to the habitual?

and, they said something about the new album or bon jovi?

Thanks.

Edit: Not Bad.

not good really...judjing by the one song, richie looks better but not in a good shape by his standards, orianthi cant fill the stage. the band must be full of session players for the live.
richie was more confident but they lack direction imo, sth that would show prospect. playing mediocre versions of classics and having orianthi shredding for no reason many times doesnt add anything.

I agree. I think he is not taken seriously these shows. I see not concentrate on giving the best. Orianthi becoming a nuisance, it is not so amazing, it looks like a session musician more, sometimes even looks timid.

They need a change of course, make adjustments, prepare a infallible show from start to finish using a standard set that works, and from there, allow some clever variations over time.

Richie can clearly do no right for a lot of people on this forum.

The performances from this show I've seen have been solid and very encouraging. Streets ahead of the footage from a couple years ago....

I like what I'm hearing so far. He sounds miles better that his 2014 run of shows and while there's room for improvement it shows a lot of promise and he looks like he's enjoying it. My big gripe is that constant signaling to the mixing guys or whatever to keep turning guitars and mics up, it sounds fine, just concentrate on playing for ****s sake!!!!!

If orianthi leaves it's going to be listenable. Richie seems to be ok now, really hate the shredding.
