Default Richie Sambora's Tour 2016!

I agree about Richie not being that great a frontman. I saw him on the US tour & while he was vocally superb/played fantastic, he just didn't control an audience that well. That's not a criticism either, as there are plenty of singers who don't. Not everyone can be a Freddie Mercury type.

It's only a bigger issue if the playing is poor. Play/sound great, nobody really cares about the rest.

The one song where I do really miss Richie on the new record is Scars On This Guitar. His backing vocals would have sounded amazing singing with Jon on that...
EXACTLY that's what i thought..check out on my post i wrote that..
Scar was done poorly..it should be A HIT if they produce it elegantly, the weird stuff was when the background voice sing along..It would be awesome if Richie did it...

An in form JBJ is one of the World's greatest frontmen. No question for me.

That isn't Richie's strongpoint but with his voice it doesn't need to be.

That was arguably JBJ's great skill beyond anything else. His ability to make the person on the back row of an 80,000 crowd feel like Jon was talking directly to them. It is something even some frontmen regarded higher than Jon don't have and in fact, I would say he is one of the few to possess that magic.

I agree it is not a slight on Richie at all that he lacks that. There are other issues surrounding his viability as a frontman for me.

Does anybody know if he is going to be there again or they are changing to any other hotel?
Thankx
When they did the Because We Can tour they weren't at the Mandarin Oriental , they stayed in another expensive hotel but I can not remember the name of that hotel right now

Actually I don't really mind, it's just that, as Captain_Jovi said in your thread:

It seems like it's Let's trash Richie time again these days!

*************************************

According to setlist.fm, they opened with Marvin Gaye's What's Goin'On in Newcastle. He seems to be changing the first song every other show, but still no new RSO song to end it... One last chance tomorrow in London, fingers crossed!

EDIT
a review of the Newcastle gig
