Default Official September 19 2015, Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia thread

Three days until Bon Jovi plays for the second time in Malaysia, and for the first time in Kuala Lumpur. They'll be playing the Stadium Merdeka which has a capacity for 25,000 spectators.

Air view of the Stadium Merdeka.

The last time that the band visited Malaysia was as part of the These Days Tour on May 4, 1995, in the Shah Alam Stadium. Sadly, I couldn't find any information about the setlist or attendance of that night.

Let's hope we get another PBP like the one we got from Bangkok. Oh, before I forget, the show starts at 8:30 PM local time (UTC+8).

Setlist

1. Who Says You Can't Go Home
2. Lost Highway
3. Whole Lot of Leavin'
4. Raise Your Hands
5. You Give Love a Bad Name
6. We Weren't Born to Follow
7. We Don't Run
8. It's My Life
9. Because We Can
10. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
11. What About Now
12. We Got It Goin' On
13. In These Arms (David Bryan sang lead vocals on the first verse )
14. Wanted Dead or Alive
15. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
16. Keep the Faith
17. Bad Medicine

Encore:
18. Have a Nice Day
19. Livin' on a Prayer

Note: "Runaway" was on the planned setlist, but it wasn't played.

That's 8:30AM New Jersey time. And they're doing Singapore the very next day? Hope Jon's voice can handle it.

That's right. They're doing several gigs this way, like the Taiwan ones.

He's being ripped off.

I came here to post that and you beat me to it. Everyone's been saying he needs lessons. LOL

More like a dark interpretation that Jon's voice is completely gone and these "singing lessons" are his only lifeline left. He really needs to get his throat checked.

What a strange thing to say at a press conference!

Well, he said he was taking lessons (the tour rider demands a voice coach), he didn't say he was an A-student!

"ears". "He really needs to get his ears checked"... To hear how bad he's sounding.
Or "mind". If he really thinks he's sounding good on this tour, he's being a fool.

More weird things happening: there's an article in this newspaper but... the link is dead, the article has disappeared!

Jon Bon Jovi: “Malaysians know how to rock!” KUALA LUMPUR: More than a month ago, rock singer Jon Bon Jovi performed a cover of Teresa Teng's classic Mandarin hit Tian Mi Mi, and the video of his performance went viral on social media.

The setlist leaked!
Quote:
Even though most of the band members are well over 50 now, Bon Jovi said the band’s spirit is still flaring like the old days to satisfy their Malaysian fans.

Bon Jovi said fans will be treated to an unforgettable night of Bon Jovi’s huge arsenal of worldwide hits, including ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’, ‘It’s My Life’, ‘Have A Nice Day’, and also the Grammy winning ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home’ at their concert this weekend.

Meanwhile, Malaysia Major Events (MME) general manager Tony Nagamaiah expected about 3,000 international fans from around the region to be at the concert, contributing close to RM27 million in economic impact to the country.
Photo: epic fail.

It's crazy how young they all look in that promo shot for 'We Weren't Born To Follow'. I know it was six years ago but bloody hell...
