All that said, it's not a terrible album. But it ain't no BonJovi.

No, it's not terrible. And Jon is not trying to fool anyone either. He's not about F-ing Dave or Tico over or he might have released this as a JBJ solo album. With no promotional backing, keeping the Bon Jovi name or calling it a solo album really doesn't matter. I'm sure, at least for him it doesn't.
Jon had an obligation to fulfill and put out an album of songs. Regardless of what some might think, Jon is not one to throw shit on an album and say here you go. Some might think that's the end result but that's not Jon's initial intention.
I'm still waiting to digest this album before I give my final review. So far I'd say I'm really enjoying all of these tracks including the bonus track. This was definitely a surprise album and I'm shocked to say the least. I'm even enjoying the fillers. When I go to the beach or pool, I put this on shuffle and all these songs are extremely enjoyable.
Not a bad and unexpected 2015. 11 songs from BB, Beautiful Day, Reunion, and heck, even the Chinese song. 15 new songs in total! I'll take it. Looking forward to next year. Hopefully a big tour to follow. Oh wait, we have to get through Richie's album next. I won't hold my breath for that one.
