Same here. This is actually good. It does sound like it's the 5th cd of the box set... But theres plenty of great tracks. Actually, I like 5 of them. Teardrop and Fingerprints seem to stand out most...

Of course, you can tell that Richie is missing, both on the lead guitar but even more on the backing vocals. And there's not a single attempt to do a real rocker on it. Still - miles better than ever expected.

They should stick with doing fan albums.

In the Italian iTunes Burning Bridges is doing very well, actually it is #7 in the general rank, and #1 in the rock chart!

Seriously, I haven't posted here in so long.

I'm absolutely in love with this album. Yes I originally had lower expectations but I'm enjoying so much. Fingerprints, burning bridges are the current top two then there's who would you die for...oh my. That's such a sexy one - does anyone else think it sounds rather James Bond-esqu?

I listened to this all the way through earlier in the day. Then I listened with dinner and a few drinks - figuring that the drinks would help.

There are a couple of tracks that aren't bad (which doesn't mean that they are good) but I hate the production all the way through.

Then I put These days on - which is also quieter with no so many rockers on it. OMFG - what a difference. Completely different production - the background is not stomping all over the lead singer.

Big sigh - this is not bad - but it's not great either.

Just writing it makes me angry at how shit it is to get things into this country. I do a yearly trip to the UK and just stock the **** up.
Yeah maybe. Look. Price right now in some stores: 42-49 USD. Japanese edition: 92 USD.

Hope this country gets ****ing burned into ashes.

Not bad for a collection of B-sides. If anything, this points to the fact that a fresh Jon Bon Jovi/John Shanks project has the potential to be very good.

I think I really like 2 songs of the album and that's it. I really like Blind Love, followed by Saturday Night (which is just another Its My Life, Born To Follow etc etc). All the other songs are just too safe - well scratch that - too much wasted potential in my opinion. And I know Saturday Night might be the safest song on the album but I find myself liking that one despite being a song that we have heard a dozen times before.

As Kathleen said, the production is horrible. There's no space between the layers, the drums are so flat that you cannot call it drums anymore and there's just no depth in the sound. 'We Don't Run' is a pain to listen to. Everything is loud. This whole album doesn't breathe and there are just so many songs on it where you can hear Jon heavily depend on auto-tune more then he ever needed.
To conclude I even dare to say this: I even like WaN more then this one!

Some songs had potential but the production as well as the other things mentioned above completely ruin it for me. Back to the warm, deep, emotional sound of These Days.

I salute you,
TS
