Good point. But you can't compare them, they're not in the same league at all, now more than ever.

The meaning of Blind Love: of course it means whatever the listener want it to mean but still... "gunny sack" (and boots)? a soldier-off-to-war seems appropriate to me but the overall atmosphere of the song + the lyrics seem to be a paraphrase of Bruce's 9/11 album, a cross between You're Missing and The Rising and some more, so the narrator would be a fireman who died in the towers. It also reminds me of Meet Joe Black (except for the gunny sack and boots).

Both songs are now available on Spotify and a lyrics video for Blind Love was uploaded to Bon Jovi's YouTube account. Added the link in the first post.

About the new songs, I didn't liked both of them at the first listen, now they're growing up on me. Blind Love isn't as bad as everyone's saying, and Teardrop To The Sea isn't as great IMO, they're average songs but I'm liking them so far.

I don't know if the lyrics to Teardrop have been posted, but it goes something like this..

Also, I like the song, I can relate to it.. I've been heartbroken a few months ago, terrible emotional breakdown, I'm good now, but this still helps me deal with it..

So this is it,
Here it is,
My pot of a gold,
A Judas kiss,
I got what I wanted,
I paid every cost,
I'd give it all back,
To get back what I've lost,
Like a wave on the beach,
Last leaf on the tree,
It's all just a memory

Chorus
Love pick me up,
I'm down on my knees,
My treasure just rides,
Wings that don't fly,
I ain't praying, I'm choking,
I'll fix what's been broken,
Got nothing to hide,
No time for goodbye,
Nobody grieves,
Teardrop to the sea

They shake my hand,
Pat my back,
They know my drink,
Welcome back,
Life of the party,
Tears of a clown
Can't hear a heartbreak,
The music's too loud

Chorus
Love pick me up,
I'm down on my knees,
My treasure just rides,
Wings that don't fly,
I ain't praying, I'm choking,
I'll fix what's been broken,
Got nothing to hide,
No time for goodbye,
Nobody grieves,
Teardrop to the sea

Guitar Solo

It's just broken glass,
Jump lines on the street,
Move along, move along, ain't nothing her to see

Chorus
Love pick me up,
I'm down on my knees,
My riches just rags,
Wings that don't fly,
I ain't praying, I'm choking,
I'll fix what's been broken,
Got nothing to hide,
No bitter goodbyes,
Oh love pick me up,
Oh love pick me up,
Nobody grieves,
Teardrop to the sea,
Teardrop to the sea,
Teardrop to the sea

Considering the other 3 songs we have now, Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning seems so off... goes better with What About Now.

Really not liking either of these 2 new releases.
So far We Don't Run is the only good one out of the four.

One thing about the fans here, they are too quick to judge. If the songs not rock, they want nothing to do with it.

Rock songs could grab a listener quicker and faster. The slower the songs are, the more time it could take to grab that listener... I remember the first time I heard 'Lie To Me' and 'Something To Believe In' I felt the same way. Skip, Skip, Skip...

My opinions go in stages and could change throughout. I have my first time listen opinion, then I have my opinion after a few weeks, then I have my opinion years later when I could reflect back.

I can't fairly compare We Don't Run to the 2 new songs yet because I've been listing to that one for a few weeks now nonstop while the new ones have been barely digested. I could tell you right now, after 4 songs in that BB is not a disappointment but time will tell. We still have 7 more songs to go.

So 'We Don't Run' and 'Teardrop' both have that Fall Out Boy into and outro, Ooooo Ooooo...

If you first listen to Teardrop, it sounds like that's the correct speed and if you immediately listen to WDR after, it sound like they just sped up that 'Teardrop' version.

I'm thinking that We Don't Run was initially done slower and then sped up after. Someone else stated that too but if you listen to both together, it does become more obvious.

(I'm not saying that they are identical versions but I'm talking specific about the recording. )
