I'll take that bet, too. Bruce Springsteen wasn't asked for publishing rights when he re-enlisted with Sony, but that's because Sony knows they can make more than enough money off Bruce without them. Without Richie, Jon no longer has such leverage. Ironically, Bon Jovi was probably one of the last noncommercial rock bands that didn't have to give publishing when they were signed -- back then, it was required only from commercial and Top 40 acts.
