I wasn't able to read all 45 pages thoroughly, so not sure if this has been posted, but amazon.ca shows "Burning Bridges" as an Import being released Aug 21, which can be pre-ordered now for $20.54 CDN.

Above is from a message I posted last week. Today when I searched amazon.ca for "Bon Jovi Burning Bridges" nothing came up, and the link in the original message now comes up "not found". Not sure what this means for fans here in Canada.

Still no album info? 24 days remaining and not even the track listing.

The more I think about it, this is more of a transition album. A way to slowly break in a new Bon Jovi without Richie. Keep it simple. No pics or liner notes. To release a full fledged album without him might turn fans off so this is a way of weaning him out slowly. Smart strategy if I'm right.

Didn't Jon already say that?

I guess. But I always stated that there was a strategy behind all this. It's more than just a contract filler album or a way to say thank you to the fans. It's the first post Richie album and I believe the purpose of this album is to phase out Richie to lessen the shock.

With all this talk a few months back weather the album should be Bon Jovi or JBJ solo... I guess the answer is, let's do something in between and that's what Burning Bridges is. They released two songs. One written with Richie and one written without. That's also why it's a brown paper bag. Let's call it Bon Jovi but remove all the visual. They want fans to get used to a Bon Jovi without Richie while keeping Richie's ghost floating around so by the time the real album comes out, fan will be used to a Bon Jovi world without Richie.

Very smart strategy. Kudos to the Record Company.

This could be an explanation for this whole confusion. I also keep wondering😮❔.. What I don't understand from a sales perspective - how can you go and almost "downgrade" your own artwork, also in regard of everyone else involved in the process? I mean, it's a weird marketing strategy (yet proofes again how spoiled Jon is in terms of record sales).
I'd prefer him telling a little bit more about what the real deal was. Probably expecting too much but we might also get some answers soon. Didn't he say no interviews? Well what was that with Scott Shannon?

Edit: Even the downgrading starts to make sense in a way of not overreacting on the Richie-is-now-gone thing.

Yes, I'm buying this. It HAS to do with Richie.

Brown paper bags go directly into the trash bin, right?

Yeah he reiterated it'll make more sense when it comes out so there just might be a fact we don't know yet.

Don't forget Slippery was delivered with a black garbage bag for a cover--don't knock it 'til you hear it.
