I'm curious why this would be an issue. Wouldn't he be able to launch music whenever he wants? And with publicity around the band would make sense to do it now.

I don't see any involvement from Richie. While Jon has been offering slightly more information about their relationship, and we will likely learn more in documentary, he has also said enough bad form things about Richie. I mean he is pointing to his addictions, which doesn't seem likely if they are collaborating.

It would be a nice way to end the documentary, though. But even so, I am not one of those who thinks it is done forever. Richie will be back at some point, I am convinced of it.
