Bass is decently high in the mix and I'm digging the 12 string guitar that opens the song/after the chorus. Vocals are a bit TOO layered for my liking, was hoping it'd have a rawer gang-vocals sound.

I really like Ain’t Done Yet.

Anyway i hear also some mid/late 00’s vibes and also WAN vibes in Legendary…

I can’t wait for the full version

In your opinion the vocals in the song are a lot layered to make the song more modern etc. or are tricks to make Jon’s voice sound better?

Guess they keep trying to make it sound pop-ish?

Both I think. One of Shank's calling cards is overly stacked vocals/background vocals. The chorus of Have a Nice Day is wild. There's the main melody, one a third above the main, one an octave below the main then a bunch o'"daaaaaaaaaaaay'". I'm With You is hella stacked robitically slick sounding. I wish it had a more natural sound but I think you were right that it's also to cover up Jon's vocals.

Alas, there's a lot of joy to this one, so far I don't mind this one.

Looking back to 2103, Jon could have totally handled a song like "I'm With You" in the studio with a 100% natural sound.

I don't think it's even about the notes he can and can't hit (Though I maintain the end of Pictures of You is doctored to all hell), it's just the way Shanks produces vocals. Richie's BV's on I'm With You are layered in such a robotic way and it all sounds way too slick and artificially modified.

Watching the video now. The song is a piece of shit, honestly. Bon Jovi by numbers. No proper solo.. yuck.

I honestly felt both song and video were kinda boring. Lyrically and musically, Bon Jovi by numbers.

The vocals sound so processed it almost sounds like bad AI and Jon's tone grates in the verses. I'm still not a fan of the whoas but the chrous is catchy. But yeah it still feels a bit like a by numbers song. I know that there will be better on the album. It's....ok at best for me.
