on spotify it's showing legendary at 2,677,413 which was relased march 14th, it's showing for pearl jam's latest single wreckage at 1,761,479 which was released april 17th. Running which was released march 22nd is showing 3,182,168. Jovi has twice the monthly listeners but that's probably mostly due to prayer.

Interesting. Though PJ's new album just arrived few days ago, surely that skews number of listens. On Youtube, Jovi has double views of PJ on lead single. Both I would say are rather underwhelming. Rolling Stones for example put out horrendous song but were smart enough to put Sydney Sweeney in there. What's interesting to me is the need for Jon to be in every video now, while when in heyday (like Always) they put other actors mostly.

it's showing over 8 million streams for the lead single dark matter. it looks like about 700,000 or so have listened to the new album on spotify. I liked that Stones song myself.

8 million rather outranks 3 million Legendary has on Youtube plus 2.6 million on Spotify. Interesting that Pearl Jam audience does not consume their music through Youtube so much.

Regarding Stones, its' taste I guess, but I find it awful. But I do find awful much of their catalogue to be honest, Jagger's never in exact tonality voice gets on my nerves. I'm not one to go for Zeppelin versus punk in a sense that I only value skill (I do like both Zeppelin and proto and post punk bands and artists, such as Iggy Pop or Joy Division), but with Stones I always thought is the largest gap between talent and success. Jovi fortunately leaned early towards Beatles-esque harmonies

i'm not a huge stones fan but I do like some of their stuff. I like jagger's solo album Wandering Spirit a lot more than any stones album.

Both the new PJ and the recent Stones album are superb. I wish Jovi were still putting out material of this quality.

Dark Matter never had an official video with the band, so it doesn't have the same promotional appeal.

Pearl Jam doesn't make music videos as far as I know. That may partly explain the audience difference re YouTube/Spotify.
