Yeah it could of been much better with different production, but it wasn't murdered as I'm With You was.
It's good, it's much better than anything I expected in 2024 (I expected hiatus and slow death). And here is best single since HAND
I'm with you. Classic bj song. More bj songs (in 2000)should sound like this.

Nope, I hate it. As I mentioned on the Richie's thread, even when I think a song might be good (both by Richie or the band), there's something bugging me. Here this is the talk box. It sounds so artificial, weird choice, really. The song is way better than lengendary though.

If I knew how I would remove the talkbox for myself to listen to. I actually like the song but the talkbox is so annoying, it's jarring and doesn't fit the song at all. I like the riff that starts the song and would've just stuck with that throughout the song. It could also use a good solo to enhance the song as well.

Yes, in Prayer it's great. It's the specific sound of it in this song that's annoying me.

This. Better solo and no talk box would push this to one of the better post 2005 "Rock" songs from them. I dig it but I was never in the camp that thought it needed to be the lead single based on a 15 second clip.

For me, this is one of the best songs in the last 15 years from Bon Jovi.
The BEST part is that fantastic talk box riff. Sounds truly like Bon Jovi. I wish they used talk box much more frequently. Chorus is very catchy. The solo is weak part of the song. I would like Bullet type of the solo in it. Beginning and the ending of the song are great. Finally a very good song from BJ. 9/10 for me

I even like the solo, it's calculated take on IML solo. And verses are calculated take on HAND, very calculated, basically rip off.

However, unlike all other IML clones, this one has chorus that seems really honest, reflecting the moment where Jon and the band really are. Like, Everyday was perhaps even better produced than this, but I couldn't really BELIEVE in what it was saying. All it was saying to me was: hey, here is IML take 2 in 2002, hopefully it's a hit again

With this, I believe in this chorus, and then every other weakness is less severe. And there are weaknesses of course, but for now I'm happy

I like it, but feel like I've heard the whole song after about a minute into it.

Chorus is catchy, talkbox doesn't bother me. Just wish it went a little left before coming back for the chorus at the end.

I don't mind the talkbox that much, the beginning of the song is good. My problem with talkbox in general is that it's Richie's signature sound. However, with the documentary, Backstage and the album being called Forever this is the most nostalgia Jon has ever allowed, I understand it has a place on the album.

I don't like the solo. It sounds like Bobby's impersonator was late in the studio and plugged his guitar right before the solo. It comes out of nowhere and its clean sound doesn't fit the song at all. If they aimed for contrast between rough talkbox sound and this one, it doesn't work for me. At least now.

I was afraid that the best part was the chorus we had already heard. The feeling of the whole song is underwhelming then.

So this is a song about having a dream and chasing it, till you find the Bright Lights." - Aldo Nova.
