New Bon Jovi Album: This House Is Not For Sale (2016)

Theres always some truth in every rumor.

I can't find the exact article - too much bs out there - but the last paragraph where they are "quoting" Richie - that same thing was in an article where he was talking about his and Ori's album. I think the press, if you can call them that, are just grasping at straws & rehashing to get something read.

Where was the truth in "Jon is dead" rumor from a few years ago?

Have you seen the quality of his performances on the last tour?

Usually I'm buzzing for Bon Jovi news. Now I don't want any because they've killed themselves off and need more than a year and a half away. (I know it's nearly two since an album was released)

Don't think that story is true, though. Jon has obviously said himself that he is writing but hopefully that's all he is doing.

Nah, it's all tabloid nonsense I would say.

Personally, I would love Jon to go out in 2016 with a solo record where he really pushes himself artistically, something in the vein of Destination Anywhere. Remember how passionate and excited he was about his songs from The Other Guys (is that what it was called?). I'd like to see that Jon back. Writing music he believes in that is straight from his heart and that is passionately believes in, rather than throwaway stuff that allows them to tour.

I'd have no problem with a Bon Jovi album without Richie, in fact I would be very curious to hear what that would be like, especially if Jon guided the project by bringing in guest guitarists, gave Dave more limelight in terms of piano driven songs, duets etc.

If he did his solo thing in 2016, late 2017 for a new Bon Jovi album post-Richie, or a reunion album would be good. Two and a half years is a long time and a lot could change. I would hate to see Jon rush to put out a new band album that was bland and uninspiring as that could well be the final nail in the coffin.

I do believe Jon is working on a new album and does have some tracks in their early stages.

I'm not really buying the whole security thing but maybe Jon does have a few surprises he's keeping up raps. Maybe a guest guitar player or someone to sing on a duet.
