Which Bon Jovi are the prequels?

The prequels are Bon Jovi with Richie and Shanks, the Disney version is the last decade.

A little more respect for the prequels please. Bon Jovi post-Shanks is more like the sequels...

Episode 7: promising ("refreshing" the sound with HAND)
Episode 8: 50/50 (wait we are going country now?)
Episode 9: what the actual **** is going on here? (We can call it Episode WAN).

Fast Cars is awesome! That as a single would be a smash hit at any point in history if they chose to release it! I can already imagine JBJ on the catwalk singing it and when the last chorus starts the screens show a car driving down the open road with signs that say "Destination Anywhere" "welcome to wherever you are" "Lost Highway 15 miles west", and all the audience with their cellphones and lighters just helping the ambience
Yes, I really do live in my own little world. I still love Fast Cars though

Well yeah maybe, but to be fair neither is Legendary. Blood in The Water at least has more in commen with the band's peak than Legendary, Limitless and Do What You Can....etc etc

That peak was so long ago though.

Legendary is at least closer to the vibe of song (North America) people DO want. They don't want the downers. I'll get crucified for this but those songs you mentioned are closer in vibe to the hits than Blood in the Water etc

"How are you feeling? Bad but i'll get by" is the DNA of the type of song. Granted, yeah, even those do well so they should be taking more risks buuut anything that isn't a Bon Jovi hit is an instant skip for my region anyway.

I think that's a couple too many no-no words for Bible belt classic rock radio

Yeah, fair point! Its still far less in-your-face about it than LtF but maybe you are right.
