Can't really imagine the record label funding both. And if the Box Set really was spanning across their entire career, it'd make the new album look even more shocking given that people may hear the decline so directly.

Perhaps JBJ is contributing to the costs of the Box set?

Regarding his voice listen to anything from Bon Jovi ( 1st Album) until Crush anyone could recognise the difference appearing vocally around crush. Did I expect Jon to go-out vocally like this no? Wasn't expecting 80's/90's vocals either.

If I remember correctly Jon initially said that the “box set” would be a digital release on the JBJ Experience back when he first started talking about what they’ve got planned for the anniversary. Maybe they’re still planning to do it like that? A DIY digital collection of outtakes and demos for the more invested fanbase and a label-funded and promoted new studio album for everyone.

it makes me wonder...A band like Bj cant make at least a small profit with a deluxe boxset?
if the release a 10k copies for example and sell it online for 100 euros is there any doubt it will not sell out?

Jon said they are planning to release the boxset to end all boxsets...

i guess some plans are delayed, a new album seems to be on the way, i thinh the bj camp plans to make 2024 a big Bon Jovi year full of events and releases...
at least i hope so...

where is the source regarding Ed Sheeran and a new producer?

yeah thats what i said. i think it will be one or the other not both. plus the band are now saying next year is the real 40th anniversary not this year. Be amazed if a new album came out this year seeing as we are nearly halfway through it already so a boxset is quicker to pull together for a 2023 release...but will they release that in the 39th year and not 40th?

If Jon is recording it now, then the new album will be released in the first half of 2024. And the boxset + documentary will be released in late 2024. In between, there will be a world tour. That's how I see it.
