his confidence is gone and he knows it.
these were slowed down and he really struggled.
the "game" in bad name is sung likes he's in pain.
sorry sight to see and hear

Terrible attempts to sing on that iHeart event.
Damn it Jon.

I wonder if they go on tour, if Shanks is going to be on stage with them. I think I saw a picture of him where he seemed to have gained a lot of weight and we all know what happened to Bobby when he got fat.

he shouldn't destroy his legacy...just release albums, box sets, produce albums for other artists etc...just don't go on tour...he had a great and beautiful career and doesn't have to prove anything to anyone

This! This is exactly what Jon should be doing, but I think he wants to constantly prove to himself that he can still do it, and the buzz of being on stage is a hard one to kick. But if he carries on like this he completely is going to destroy his and the bands legacy. I was really hoping after the long break we'd hear some improvement, but unfortunately there is none.

Then again, he's been saying for years that touring and performing on stage is the part he enjoys least for quite some time now.
I honestly wonder how they wanna get anything decent sounding out of this for an album without using at least some AI modulations to save the record.

I don't think the enjoyment factor really comes into it. He has to prove to himself that he can still do it, whether he enjoys it or not! I guess it's a pride thing?

I'm concerned about this MusicCares thing in Feb. He'll apparently be perfoming with the band, alonside other artists covering Jovi tunes. I expect the footage will get heavily doctored, but how do you go out on stage like that and perform in front of your peers?

I can't imagine any artist not having touring and performing live on stage as their favorite part of their career. It would all fall apart if that was true. Plus would be pretty lazy for anyone to even feel that way.

At least on stage, never seem or felt that way.

He said that it was his least favourite part of the process in interviews, I think around the time of 2020. He specifically mentioned still enjoying the creative process and then stating that writing on its own was his favourite, followed by going into the studio and recording. Then he made a point of saying that touring was the part of the entire thing he definintely likes the least these days. Well, who can blame him? He's visibly been going through hell up there each time since mid to late 2013. A whole decade is quite some time.

I think it’s specifically the touring part he’s said he really doesn’t enjoy anymore. Always traveling, being away from home, living in hotel rooms, how physically exhausting it is, all that stuff. Although with the state of his voice the actual performing part really can’t be particularly enjoyable anymore either.

But the chip on his shoulder is big and I think given the fact that he’s already done a tour with his voice in this state he’ll probably go out and do it again. And with the band recording a new album at the moment Jon is probably gonna wanna play it live eventually.

I think you can have a least favourite part of the three and still pull off a show. It's not lazy to dislike travelling 80 percent of the day for 2 hours on stage. That sounds like a hell of a grind.
