gutted by these videos... hoped for some improvement but unfortunately looks like his state is nt reversable.
The worst thing imo is looking at jon hurting and feeling insecure up there..
playing the same covers with a cracking voice..
If he at least looked like having a good time or playing sth meaningful to him i d get it, but being on stage not happy playing the sme old slow vrs looks akward to say the least..

having said all these, his lack of confidence is the main factor in everything i see

The lack of voice is causing the lack of confidence, not the other way around unfortunately.

The factor is that he used to sound so different about this, even back in 2010, he said: "You are dreading it all the time during travel and rehearsal, but the moment you set your foot on stage on the first night, you get this rush and realize why you are doing all of this. There's nothing better than that!"

i get what you say but i dont totally agree. In order to sing you must open yourself and be ready to push yourself. jon is not comfortable and cannot give his best. there was a concert in 2018 in Brasil, jon was singing bed of roses, the show wasnt good but during bed of roses he went for a higher note, nailed it and then suddenly you could see a different frontman, singing better without thinking his every move and second guessing..

You don't sing for 30 years and then just suddenly forget how to sing, or lose confidence in how to sing. Jon's problem is physical, not mental. Sure he hits a good note now and again and it gives him a boost, but it's only temporary. He still sounded awful for the whole show in Brazil compared to how we would have sounded 7 or 8 years before. The note he hit in Bed Of Roses was nothing compared to notes he used to hit. Sure it was a good for 2018 standards, but that's it. Truth is, Jon's voice has been showing signs of having issues for 15 years before it went, so it was nothing new. Something just snapped and by the looks of it it just isn't fixable. People need to stop hoping now that Jon's voice is going to miraculously come back. I was honesly hoping that this long break from performing was because he was doing something to fix his voice, but it's clear either he hasn't been doing anything, or the problem is just something that can't be fixed.

I just don’t think those clips are that bad. Is it any better? I don’t know. Would he be able to tour? I don’t know. But they weren’t THAT bad in my opinion (except for Bad Name and I hate the TLFR version so much I have no comment).
