I like the melody. Jon's voice sounds so so weak. Maybe should've waited a little longer to record such a stripped back song.

AFAIK, the album was recorded PRE-surgery? Don't you have to barely speak, let alone sing, for months after such a procedure?

Surgery was 2022 post Nashville, album was recorded in mid to late 2023 I believe.

That's bad news then, because that is indeed a very shaky vocal.

Jon has said numorous times that he is still healing and it's still an ongoing process. These things can take years. I still find it bonkers that he recorded an album while still healing.

Yes, to expect JBJ as instantly better, is naive. Actually I'm glad he recorded "Forever" as some songs sound better than 2020, and it could be the best Bon Jovi have done since HAND.

What the snippets, I have heard, "Hallow Man" and "Kiss the Bride" seem the weakest, but I still like them.

He wanted the album out this year to coincide with the 40th celebration. He should've just done the 2nd box set of unreleased material and maybe released a new album in 2025.

Dont write of "Forever" based on 2 songs, wait to hear the Full Album, before saying he should have released a box set.

I don't think waiting a year would made a difference to what he would have released, and his vocals are still recovering so I wouldn't expect a great improvement, but judging from the 2 singles released he sounds better than he did on 2020.

But imagine how much better it would be if he had an improved vocal...

Yes, this exactly. But he must always find a way to try and prove he's not a nostagia act...
