I personally like it, the only thing I feel sad is the gain level in the solo. But still is great to hear Richie's music. I don't want to go with conspiracies about the cover. It has its meaning indeed. Anywho, his voice sounds great and although there is enough compression I love to hear back from him. I'm currently more excited about his solo record and the BSWBJ than the Forever release

Serriously? So Seven Years Gone, You Can Only Get So High are not great songs? Ok then...

This is the iTunes chart so it has nothing to do with Radio. I expect it's climed back up due to the promo around the documentary.

I didn't expect the Richie song to register on these charts at all so that can only be a good thing. But let's not compare how his track is doing to the Jovi track. Of course a Richie song released independantly is not going to do anything close to what a new Bon Jovi track on a major label is...

It's a good song for me.

I also appreciated the solo with the talk box, it's always a pleasure hear Richie using it.

This song is shite but to say he hasn't made a brilliant song in nearly 30 years is absurd.
In my opinion, Richie hasn't made a brilliant solo song since Stranger in this town (the album). I kind of liked Undiscovered soul when it was realeased but listened to it last year and I found it quite boring and meh. Regarding Aftermath of the Lowdown, I have nothing nice to say about it.
Anyway I'm eager to listen to what he has in store this time, I hope I'll be surprised in a nice way.

I agree a bit on Undiscovered Soul. It has not aged as well as Stranger and I find it too stodgy and also too faux emotional. Still, I love a few of the tracks and enjoyed the whole album at the time.

On Aftermath, I find it lacking in sincerity, which is odd because I know sincerity is one aspect most people would argue is one of its main selling points. It sounds calculated to me, which does not necessarily mean it is bad. I like some of the songs fine.

I kind of agree but never found what turned me off Aftermath at the time. But yes, about half the album feels calculated and by the numbers just like Jovi was doing with WAN, but the other half is sincere, and awesome. I know people don't mention it often, and it's not my favorite but Who I am is probably the Richie sólo song I've most replayed. That's how to record an outro solo....

Livin' Alone. I like this WAY more than I Pray. Production wise is a huge improvement.

I like both and at this point i think that maybe the new songs will be released as a singles and not as an album…
