Just finishing episode 2 and really enjoying it. That moment when Jon starts tearing up is really moving.

I find this version of Jon Bon Jovi EXTREMELY likeable.

Agreed one of the highlights of the documentary.

I really liked this! There was enough new stuff to keep me interested and engaged, not as much of a glimpse behind the curtain as I thought but it is beautifully done and entertaining. I give Richie a hard time sometimes because of how he sounds in interviews and such these days but I couldn't help but agree with what he said about the WAN period and his quote about bon jovi as a band were getting stale....

Bon jovi were stale...but that football team needed buying. WAN sticks out like a sore thumb in the jovi
discography for a reason.

I really liked the documentary. Knowing that it would appeal to the more casual fan and/or even non BJ fans, I’m pleasantly surprised. Loved Jon showcasing Cadillac Man and gave it the spotlight it always deserved! Also loved the Always moment at Wembley 95!

Tbh those of you who thought they would go into detail and albums, songs etc., you are very naive, and imo just trying to criticize the doc for the sake of it. You knew from the start it wouldn’t happen and that it wasn’t the platform for it to happen.

He wasnt as involved with WAN because there wasn't supposed to be an album. He had just put out his solo album in 2012 and was on tour when Jon called everyone back to the studio to make a new album in what was supposed to be a year off. Even Tico was pissed. Richie came into the project after his tour, which was why we was unable to attend the sessions, not because he was wasted like the documentary implied. It conveniently skipped over that fact. Jon is 100% to blame for the mess that was WAN and the tour that followed. Yes, I dislike Shanks even more after the doc, BUT i hold Jon solely responsible here. I'm actually pleasently suprised to admit that he made a mistake making the WAN album. The band needed a break. If they had taken a year or two off instead, Richie may still be in the band to this day.

I enjoyed the documentary, but feel like on the whole it's aimed at the casual fan (as I expected). There's not enough depth here for the hardcore fans, and I honestly feel like even the casual fan may not be too engaged with this. I think unless you have some kind of emotional investment in the band a lot of it will go over peoples heads and they may even find it a little dull.

I loved hearing Cadillac Man in decent quality though - what a great song!

Starting this documentary, I didn’t have the mindset that I would learn anything new. The majority of us are diehard fans, we know the story of Bon Jovi. Unless there was going to be some shocking news coming out of the woodwork, there is nothing new.

I didn’t think I get emotional watching it but some of the footage shown, I haven’t seen in years. Not only have I grown up with the band, the band has grown up in front of our eyes (which is obvious but you know what I mean) not to give anything away, seeing the montage of Jon going on stage over the years was a tearjerker for me.

Maybe it was all the old footage and seeing the concerts, interviews & behind the scenes footage makes me miss Richie. I know he is a different man from those years but Bon Jovi will always be those 5 guys.

Every time someone posts the word "doc" I don't know if they are referring to the

1. Documentary
2. Doc McGhee
3. The Doctor who did Jon's surgery.
